YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIn this video, we take a look at the start-up process of the British Chieftain main battle tank, beginning with the GUE (Generating Unit Engine). This small auxiliary engine powers the tank’s electrical and hydraulic systems and helps prepare for the start of the main engine.
The Chieftain featured here is painted in the Berlin Brigade camouflage scheme, which was used by British forces stationed in West Berlin during the Cold War. The unique urban camo was designed to blend into a city environment.
Filmed at the Canadian Tank Museum during a recent event.
