In this video, we explain how bagged propellant charges work, why different charge levels are used, how they affect muzzle velocity and range, and why the correct charge must always match the firing data provided by the command post. We also look at how the projectile, fuze, cartridge case, primer and propellant work together when a 105mm howitzer is fired.
