Twitter says they banned Trump bc these 2 tweets violated their "Glorification of Violence" policy.

On January 8, 2021, Trump Tweeted:

“The 75,000,000 great American Patriots who voted for me, AMERICA FIRST, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, will have a GIANT VOICE long into the future. They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape or form!!!”

Shortly thereafter, Trump Tweeted:

“To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th.”

***These tweets were 2 days after the protest mobbed the capitol on Jan. 6, 2021

--------

It is not at all clear these tweets incited violence. Twitter does not know. They are guessing. If the POTUS can be deleted just bc Twitter has a hunch. A guess. That’s a very scary thought. That means Twitter can and will delete anybody even if they merely THINK that they are up to no good. No evidence or proof required.

People are happy Trump is banned without realizing any dissident ever can be just as easily banned—even when their tweets don't actually incite violence. It's all up to Twitter's interpretation
