The New York City mayoral race is heating up, and ex-governor Andrew Cuomo is a top contender to replace scandal-ridden Eric Adams. It seems New Yorkers have forgotten why Cuomo resigned from office in the first place — between an alleged coverup of Covid deaths in nursing homes and sexual harassment allegations that he continues to deny.

But his critics refused to be silent, including *Lindsey Boylan,* the first to blow the whistle on Cuomo’s alleged sexual misconduct.

She tells Mehdi Hasan that Cuomo is _“just like Donald Trump,”_ and is running for mayor _“because it’s the most readily available job.”_

_“He just wanted a new title. And frankly, he really just wants to get back to his former glory. He’d much rather be governor… but that job is not available, and he’s always been about finding his way back to power,”_ she says.
