In this ‘Mehdi Unfiltered’ interview, Mehdi Hasan sits down with Representative LaMonica McIver about becoming a target of the Trump administration after she was charged by the Department of Justice for ‘interfering with law enforcement’ during a routine oversight visit to an ICE detention center in New Jersey. She could face up to 17 years in prison.
In the interview, Mehdi also asks Rep. McIver on her calls to abolish ICE, Trump’s war in Iran and Democratic leadership. She also calls out some of her GOP colleagues as ‘disgusting humans’ over their Islamophobic comments.
