17:21Now PlayingWith the midterm elections less than three months away, Justice Democrats’ communications director Usamah Andrabi joins Mehdi Hasan in this episode of ‘Mehdi Unfiltered’ to break down what has, so far, been a big year for progressives, and what these victories mean for the future of the left and the Democratic Party.
As AIPAC continues to pour millions of dollars against pro-Palestinian candidates, Andrabi explained how big a role Gaza has played in the Democratic primaries, telling Mehdi that Gaza’s genocide has become “such agalvanizing issue because it's a moral question for so many voters.”
Andrabi explained to Mehdi that Justice Democrats, a progressive political action committee, has been focused on replacing establishment, AIPAC-backed representatives in deep-blue congressional districts.
In the past months, Justice Democrats has successfully endorsed several House candidates in their primaries, including Darializa Avila Chevalier. Claire Valdez. Dr. Adam Hamawy. Donavan McKinney. Chris Rabb.
