In this Week 4 Lenten reflection, Br Shehan reflects on the Gospel of the man born blind (John 9). Through this powerful encounter, we see not only a physical healing but a deeper spiritual journey—from blindness to sight, from confusion to faith.
At first, the man calls Jesus simply “a man.” Then he recognises Him as a prophet. Finally, he proclaims that Jesus is the Son of God.
This Gospel invites us to reflect on our own spiritual sight. Are there areas of our lives where we cannot see clearly? Are there people around us we fail to notice or love?
During this Lenten season, we are invited to pray a simple prayer:
“Lord, help me to see.”
This reflection is part of the Listen to Him Lenten series by the Missionaries of God’s Love, helping individuals and small groups journey toward Easter through Scripture and prayer.
