YouTube Description
as posted by the channelOperation Moshtarak, or 'The Battle of Marjah', constituted the largest joint operation of the War of Afghanistan until 2011. It involved Afghan, American, British, Canadian, Danish, and Estonian troops - over 15,000 all told - to remove the Taliban from Marja and eliminate the last Taliban stronghold in the central Helmand Province. It's been cited as a critical turning point in the war, leading to a shift in strategy away from increasing the number of American combatants for a decisive victory.
