Mike Sarraille doesn't take anything away from the pride, the valor, and the selflessness American troops showed in Iraq. But he's clear that the war itself was launched on a single source of intel used as justification, and he's not convinced we've truly memorialized the lessons from it.
His hope is that ground troops don't go back into Iraq. Looking back, despite everything the troops gave, he calls it a brutal mistake.
