Mike Sarraille says the guy next to him just looked at him and went straight down. Mike still took significant shrapnel, mostly in the legs. Then the enemy started pushing to rush the building, and comms were knocked out from the blast.
So he crawled away and got on an Iraqi Motorola to reach the supporting position and get them to collapse in and move up, because his own team couldn't hold on their own.
