Work Ethic Wednesday
Back when people were allowed to hug each other, and masks were only worn to protect us from dust, I heard a story about two women who applied for and received a work ethic scholarship from mikeroweWORKS, became friends, and started a business together. This struck me as interesting, so I dropped in on them unexpectedly one day, just to see how they were doing.
I'm glad I did. The resulting video is part Returning the Favor and part This Old House, and more proof that mastering a skill can not only lead to a satisfying career, but to an unexpected friendship. It's also an excellent reminder of exactly what mikeroweWORKS was formed to do, and one more example of why I believe that opportunities in the trades are real, for men AND women.
Please share it. It's short. It's sweet. And it's the kind of story that moves the needle.
Thanks,
Mike
