2:07:14Now PlayingMale insecurity in dating is talked about constantly — fear of rejection, sexual inadequacy, comparison to other men, and anxiety about losing a woman.
But what about female insecurity?
Women can be just as insecure on the dating scene, and female sexual insecurity doesn't always look the way men expect it to. Sometimes it appears as demanding exclusivity extremely early, becoming concerned about other women before a relationship has even been established, or expecting a man to stop exploring his options after only meeting her.
There's an important distinction between having sexual boundaries and attempting to control a man's dating behavior before mutual commitment exists.
A woman has every right to decide when and with whom she has sex. But when a woman simultaneously says, “You haven't earned access to me,” while expecting, “You shouldn't be giving access to anyone else,” that contradiction deserves examination.
In this video, we explore female sexual insecurity, early exclusivity, dating dynamics, female competition, sexual boundaries, relationship expectations, and why some women rush toward exclusivity before genuine investment has developed.
Men need to understand that insecurity isn't exclusively a male phenomenon.
Sometimes you can see it in the woman who is most concerned about whether you're dealing with anyone else.
Don't confuse a woman's standards with insecurity. Learn to recognize the difference between healthy boundaries and attempts to secure control over a man's options.
