37:54Now PlayingAmid the cheers and singing of "Skol, Vikings", Governor Mark Dayton, legislative leaders and key stakeholders celebrate the passage of the bill financing a new stadium in Minneapolis.
Earlier in the day, the Senate sent the Governor the measure on a 36 to 30 vote. Under the plan, agreement results in the Vikings contributing $477 million to the project, which is $50 million more than originally planned. The City of Minneapolis would provide $150 million dollars to the project, and the state of Minnesota would contribute $348 million dollars. The state share will largely be raised through new electronic pull-tabs and electronic bingo games.
