28:31Now PlayingGovernor Mark Dayton and legislative leaders this week learned that Minnesota's budget shortfall extends $1.1 billion through the next two fiscal years. Minnesota Management and Budget Commissioner Jim Schowalter announced the latest budget figures Wednesday, December 5. While in the short term, the state budget will have a balance of $1.3 billion dollars, which will be designated for accelerated school district payments, long term problems may grow if federal budget action falters.
