Julie speaks with Senator Bill Ingebrigtsen, R-Alexandria, who supported the final report, and Senator Ann Rest, DFL-New Hope, who expressed disappointment in the final outcome.
It was a very busy week at the Capitol, and Julie highlights several of the events that took place: Governor Mark Dayton announced a $986 million dollar bonding proposal; Lieutenant Governor Yvonne Prettner Solon said she will not seek another term; a key Senate committee endorses, on a partisan-divided vote, the construction of a new legislative office building; and Senators learn about the pressure to change the state's sex offender civil commitment process.
