Following the event, Capitol Report host Julie Bartkey talked with Senator Alice Johnson, DFL-Spring Lake Park, about her efforts to greatly expand the program. Later in the day, Education Commissioner Brenda Cassellius sat down with Julie to discuss future challenges facing Minnesota's learners.
Minnesota's outdoors are second to none in the nation, and now residents have new tools to enjoy the lakes and parks. Department of Natural Resources Commissioner Tom Landwehr highlights ways his department is upgrading services to help residents take advantage of the state's natural resources.
Finally, we continue our effort to feature the State Capitol renovation work underway. Producer Jon Brune explains how the construction footprint has forced the reconfiguration of parking areas near the building.
