1:15:41Now PlayingBefore final passage, Senators offer their final comments on the omnibus E-12 Education finance bill, which appropriates more than $17 billion dollars from the state's general fund. The funding reflects an increase of $365 million dollars over the base level of funding as determined by Minnesota Management and Budget. A few provisions include: an increase to the per pupil funding formula of a one percent each year; aid to districts with crumbling facilities; and partially funding for pre-kindergarten for the state’s 4-year olds.
