2:03:59Now PlayingThe Legislative Task Force on Vehicle Registration grew out of the 2018 report by the Legislative Auditor's Office as it examined troubled transactions conducted through the state's licensing and registration system (MNLARS). The system is being replaced by the new Vehicle Title and Registration System (VTRS), and state lawmakers have a desire to launch the system on solid footing by improving what Task Force Chair Mary Kiffmeyer, R-Big Lake, has described as one of the most complicated vehicle registration systems in the country. The task force holds its second meeting and will look at various vehicle registration funding methods.
