1:23:41Now PlayingA plan to provide $216 million in relief to local businesses impacted by the recent COVID-19 shutdown is ready for legislative action when lawmakers reconvene an unprecedented seventh special session Monday, December 14. Senator Eric Pratt, R-Prior Lake, and Representative Dave Baker, R-Willmar, presented the plan in a virtual press conference Thursday, December 10.
According to Baker, the plan would provide $15,000 to small businesses that employ up to 20 people. Businesses employing between 21 and 100 employees would receive $25,000; businesses with employees between 101 and 300 employees would receive $35,000, and larger employers would receive $45,000.
