Governor Tim Walz and Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan presented their vision for state spending for the FY 2024-25 biennium at a St. Paul news conference Tuesday, January 24. The $65 billion budget proposal includes one-time spending from the historic $17.6 billion budget surplus.
Later in the afternoon, Republican legislative leaders Senate Minority Leader Mark Johnson and House Minority Leader Lisa Demuth responded to the Governor’s proposed budget.
