With bipartisan support, the Senate approved an omnibus funding package that aids students and public higher education institutions. Senator Omar Fateh, DFL-Minneapolis, sponsor of SF 2073, said that the measure makes progress on three overlapping issues: improving equity through tuition waivers and student supports, addressing the decline in enrollment and training the future workforce.
