Many changes have taken place since the legislature last adjourned in May of 2025 – like security procedures around the Capitol and in the Senate gallery. Senator Bonnie Westlin, DFL-Plymouth, explains the reasoning behind those changes and what visitors and testifiers can expect to see and experience when they come to the Capitol.
At the same time, Senators reflect on the losses the state endured during the interim and share how they plan to use those experiences to guide their work moving forward.
