To these big companies, an entrepreneur is someone who works extra hard to make their boss richer, so they just throw the word entrepreneur around because hey who doesn’t want to be an entrepreneur

But that’s not what an entrepreneur is if you ask me. Let me show you a picture. This, this right here. Look at this, do you see it. This is one of the clearest definitions of what entrepreneurship is. An entrepreneur is someone who is given a blank piece of paper and a pen and decides to create a novel in a language they don’t speak out from it.

*But how can you write a novel with a piece of paper? That’s impossible

You’re exactly right, and that’s what entrepreneurs do, they take the impossible and they make it possible

Why do I say it like this? Because an entrepreneur is someone with an entrepreneurial mindset. If your grandparents started a hotel business, your parents grew it, and you’re inheriting it, yeah you might be a business owner, but you’re not really an entrepreneur.

Unlike most peoples’ definitions, I don’t think being a business owner makes you an entrepreneur and I don’t think you have to be in business to be an entrepreneur

If you’re a single mother working two jobs to feed your family, but you’re still putting away 25% of your paycheck so you can invest in an apartment complex in your neighborhood, yeah you’re an entrepreneur

The majority of people in your situation would be complaining and the last thing on their mind would be buying seeds or an investment, but your mindset is different, you’re going against the grain to follow your dreams for the financial good of your family

That’s what an entrepreneur is if you ask me.

Someone who is given a business and just runs it that’s an operator. Even though they might be the owner, they’re really just a high paid employee of the company, and even if you work really, really hard, that’s not entrepreneurship, you didn’t create anything.

But the person who created their own path and went against what everyone told them and started a business or became an actor, a professional athlete, a comedian, or an entertainer. That’s the entrepreneur, in my opinion.
