The scheme which was implemented for 15 days in the National Capital Region saw over 14 lakh vehicles being taken off the roads. The government increased metro and bus services in order to allow citizens to commute during this time. New Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal congratulated all Delhiites involved in making the scheme a success. He said that the scheme not only helped reduce pollution, but it also eased congestion.
