The Government is giving unparalleled emphasis to good governance with special focus on process reforms, IT-enabled Government processes, etc. The whole idea is to remove the irritants for the public in their interface with Government agencies. The emphasis on use of digital technologies is to bridge the rural-urban gap in the Union Budget 2016. The need for more comprehensive and people’s participation oriented rural action plan should have been the focus while setting sectoral allocations.
