25:09Now PlayingHarsh Roongta, a very reputed personal financial expert, and a Sebi registered investment advisor has
an advice for borrowers. He says loan against property is costlier than home loan and one cannot avail
lump sum in a reverse mortgage loan. The rate of interest on property loan would be 10.25 to 10.5%
p.a. a little more than hoam loan. If you've booked a flat in an under construction project and if you've
taken a home loan on it - you will not be able to claim deduction on it untill you've got possession of that
particular property. Or else it's penalty. According to Harsh Roongta one should ask the bank to shift loan
to base rate system or its best to shift to a differnt lender. Banks assume 45 to 50% of net monthly income
available on EMI.
