Question: My aunt bought a property and registered it in her name. She passed away recently. The project is still under construction and possession is expected by the end of this year. She did not leave a will. The family has decided who will inherit the property. How do we transfer it?
Answer: If there is no will the inheritance will happen according to the succession act as she is governed as per her religion. After the death of the individual the property stands vested in the legal heir who is legally entitled s per the succession act. Thereafter if you want to have only one to inherit the property, you can enter to into legal deeds like released deed, gift deeds name the property after the decided person.
