Q: I'm about to retire and want to purchase a flat in the joint name of me and my wife. I'm applying for a loan and want my son who is an NRI to be a co-applicant. Please tell me if it's possible.
Answer: It is not sure if a person about to retire/ retired will get a home loan at all. On the other hand, your son can be a co-applicant but only if he has worked abroad for more than a year and should be a graduate etc.
