Mumbai corporators cutting across party lines have demanded an e-tendering process for all the proposals which costs above Rs 3 lakh. They claimed that the move will reduce corruption in the sector.
Speaking on behalf of the civic body on the projects above Rs 3 lakh should come under e-tendering process, Sanjay Mukherjee, Additional Municipal Commissioner, BMC, told that Section 69 of MCGM Act decides the process of dealing with the tendering process in the corporation.
