5:22Now PlayingIn the latest development to the Cauvery Dispute, after nearly a 4-hour long cabinet meeting, the Karnataka government unanimously decided to defer release of water to Tamil Nadu, thereby defying a second Supreme Court order. The state government has said it will wait until a meeting is chaired by Union Water Minister Uma Bharti and attended by both the state chief ministers. The Union Minister has called both parties- Karnataka and Tamil Nadu on September 29 to settle the on going tussle between the two states.
