6:36Now PlayingOn Thursday (Nov 10) the Siddaramaiah Government in Karnataka saw a massive protest by BJP leaders on celebrating Tipu Sultan’s Jayanti. As a precautionary measure against any untowrd incident, the governmnet imposed Section 144 in Madikeri and Dakshina areas. The protest was the outcome of the incidents last year, when 17 BJP party workers and activists from various Hindu organisations were killed during the event. Security was beefed up across Bengaluru; also several arrests were made including State President B.S. Yeddyurappa and Shobha Karandlaje.
