Question: My son has purchased a property in Ahmedabad. He is an NRI, do we need to file the IT return in India or not? He has a property in US also.
Answer: If your taxable income is below the taxable limit then you are not supposed to file the returns. If just to bring on record of the purchase then the choice is yours. You won’t be penalised if you did not file.
