Question: I have taken a loan of Rs 39 lakh and purchased an apartment. My salary is Rs 70,000 per month. I am planning to invest on a UC property where I can move by 2019. Should I sell this flat to invest in UC (under-construction) property so that I can pay slab wise?
Answer: You are already paying more than 50% loan of your take home salary. If you are first property buyer then it’s not a good idea to buy an under-construction property. Under-Construction property may get delayed. If you can pay EMI, continue the loan. It doesn’t make any sense to sell a ready property to buy an under-construction property.
