In a first of its kind, the Kannada film industry has set up a body called FIRE or Film Industry for Rights and Equality to tackle sexual harassment in the Kannada film industry. Actors Chetan and Priyanka Upendra came forward to set up a 11-member Internal Complaints Committee that will investigate and handle all kinds of complaints of sexual harassment.
