African students in Noida have been asked to stay home and not attend lectures. This comes after six students of African origin were physically assaulted by a mob in greater Noida. 7 Indian students have been detained by Noida police in connection with this alleged racist attack. The police have said that a report will be given to the headquarters in Lucknow and the Ministry of Home Affairs. Taking note of the incident, external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj has also asked for a report from the U.P govt.
