While staff at the Indian Council of Social Welfare's Aram Ghar claims that the woman had turned violent, the victim alleges molestation. She in fact, asserted that someone visits her room during nights and touches her inappropriately. Moreover, the Superintendent of Aram Ghar stated despite her clear orders not to chain her, the maid chains her on a regular basis.
