Asif, a 21-year-old Delhi University student, was driving a cab in Daryaganj when the two abductors got in his cab and kidnapped him. After being driven to Bhopara border, he was forced to make a ransom call to his family. When Asif’s family informed the police, they were told to go to the spot in Shastri Nagar, where they were told that two plainclothes policemen would be deployed.
