28:09Now PlayingOn Day 5 of the farmer strike, the farmer committee in Nashik, Maharashtra has called for a state wide bandh on Monday. The farmers of Maharashtra have decided to call for a joint meeting on 16th June to discuss their demands, which include loan waiver, hike in the production cost, pension after the age of 60 and eight hours of electricity. As against Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's reassurance of waiving off loans of about 31 lakh farmers, protesting farmers have demanded waivers for all 1.34 crore state farmers. "The protest will continue until Maharashtra government declares loan waiver for all farmers," Amruta Pawar, one of the leaders who was part of the meeting in Nashik, told Times Network.
