The 15th GST Council chaired by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Saturday cleared pending rules and the transition provisions. The meeting has also decided the tax rate of 6 items, which include textiles and footwear. Biscuits have been taxed at 18%, but there was no mention on the tax on sanitary napkins.
