As per the initial proposal, the discoms will have to pay a sum of Rs 50 per consumer per hour for every hour that the consumer experiences unscheduled power cuts. The imposed fine will bounce to Rs 100 for every subsequent hour and will be adjusted in the consumer’s electricity bill.
