6:31Now PlayingThousands of contract pourakarmikas associated with the city's civic body, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), have launched an indefinite strike demanding regularisation of their jobs.
Head of the Pourakarmikara Mansangha, Narayan, said, "The government of Karnataka had assured us regularization but it has not been implemented for the past one year. Until the government does not give us our right, we will not clean any of the 30 districts where the strike has been called.”
