1:04:44Now PlayingFollowing the devastating deaths of as many as 60 children in a matter of 72 hours at a government-run hospital in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Health Minister JP Nadda visited the hospital and held a press conference thereafter.
In the press conference, the Union Health Minister, as well as the Chief Minister of UP, clearly stated that the deaths were due to a virus called Japanese Encephalitis which is rampant in the district of Gorakhpur and not due to the lack of oxygen as stated in initial reports. To discuss this, MIRROR NOW caught up with Anila Singh: BJP; Pankhuri Pathak: SP; Dr Nikhil Dattar: Gynaecologist and activist and founder of patient safety alliance; Dr Sanjay Nagral: Surgeon and chairperson of forum of medical ethics; Dr Samhita Rai: Paediatrician; Nifar Jawed: Founder of Janata ka reporter; Sharad Pradhan: Senior journalist; Ramakant Gaur: Senior Lawyer. Take a look.
