The helipads would mostly serve the netas who won't have to travel on the city's potholed roads or negotiate through heavy traffic. This plan of the BBMP has drawn flak from citizens who feel that the civic body has misplaced priorities. They say that BBMP isn't doing enough for making the city's infrastructure better, and is, instead focusing on providing extra facilities for VVIPs.
