Earlier, constable Lalita Salvi, 27, had approached her immediate bosses and the state DGP saying she feels 'uncomfortable living as a female', and that she has an all-clear from hospital to undergo sex reassignment surgery. While determining one's sexuality is the right of every individual, the police top brass are in a dilemma as Salvi has said she would want to continue serving the police department after her sex change.
