In July of last year, a joint audit of 445 structures, including Road Over Bridges (ROBs) and Foot Over Bridges (FOBs) was conducted by experts from IIT-Bombay, the Western Railways and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Twelve teams were constituted to carry out the audit following the collapse of the Gokhale pedestrian bridge at Andheri.
Government and BMC have been promising since years now after such events, but we don't see any end to it.
Will Government and the BMC start to take their work seriously after this?
