11:09Now PlayingTimes Now-VMR Exit Poll suggests that Narendra Damodardas Modi is all set to return as the Prime Minister of India, though with a much-reduced majority. BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is likely to get 306 seats out of 542 seats that went to polls. That’s a comfortable 34 seats more than the required halfway mark of 272 seats. Though in terms of sheer seat numbers, the NDA has come down from 352 to 306 (minus 46), the vote share of the Modi alliance has shot up from 39.3% in 2014 to 41.1% in 2019 which is an upward swing of 1.8% votes. Vote share increase clearly signals an endorsement of the Prime Minister by the voters across India.
