He was sentenced to jail for 20 years because of those cases and then sentenced to life in the case of the murder of a journalist in 2002.
But, the Superintendent of Police, Sonaria Jail, Rohtak on Monday recommended granting parole to the self-styled godman citing his 'good behaviour'.
This shows the appeasement politics that one sees in the state of Haryana. Will the Dera chief walk free? Is this a state appeasement bid before polls?
