A local court acquitted all six accused in the 2017 mob lynching case. The verdict was pronounced by additional district judge Sarita Swami. The judge said she was acquitting all six accused giving them 'benefit of doubt' in the case. The incident took place when Pehlu Khan and his two sons were beaten up by a mob while transporting cows on April 1, 2017. Khan succumbed to his injuries two days later in a hospital.
