ISRO Chief K Sivan that they have lost the connection with the lander in the crucial third face of dissent. The data was still being analyzed. However, the orbiter continues to circle the moon and will continue to collect very valuable data and imagery for us.
VikramLander descent was as planned & normal performance was observed upto 2.1km. Subsequently, communication from Lander to ground stations was lost. Data is being analyzed"
