A bench of the Madras High Court has instructed the Tamil Nadu government to respond to a plea filed by the father of techie Subashree who died after a banner fell on her in Chennai earlier this year. Subashree's father has demanded a compensation of ₹1 crore from the AIADMK government. An AIADMK functionary was arrested 15 days after Subashree's death for erecting the banner.
